What's next: DIN, Power and the boiler node

Barnex Lite is the main product: it works and is tested. DIN and Power will add own CT clamps and a ready power output. The boiler node is a separate device whose form factor is being decided; it works with Home Assistant directly.

Pre-order, sales start in late February

A coordinator without a power output: reads data from the inverter over Modbus and controls boilers and the EV charger. Working and tested today.

Planned

Barnex DIN

Planned

The same software plus its own CT clamps for sub-second measurement, in a DIN-rail enclosure.

Barnex Power

Planned

The same software, its own CT clamps and a ready power output (SSR with a contactor) for a boiler.

Boiler node

Boiler node

In development

A separate device next to the boiler: SSR, relay, controller, temperature sensors and a power supply. Form factor is being decided. Works with Home Assistant directly, and is how Lite heats a boiler.

Works with Home Assistant directly: MQTT Discovery, no cloud.

Planned capabilities

  • Own CT clamps

Planned for DIN and Power: own CT clamps detect a load change in under a second and work with any inverter. Lite takes consumption data from the inverter.

Sales start at the end of February. Features are being finalised, so details may be refined.
